Health AI Research Lab
Detecting disease
before symptoms exist.
Nexus Health is a health AI research lab searching for the hidden signals of disease — beyond the biomarkers the clinic measures today, and before symptoms exist.
We capture routine data from everyday life and build new sensors that detect the molecules carrying a clinical signal, to find new biomarkers for screening. Alongside the research, we train the next generation of health AI scientists across clinical medicine and the biological and life sciences.
What we do
Beyond the biomarkers the clinic has today.
The clinic screens with the biomarkers it can already measure, and by the time most of them move, symptoms are close behind. We look for the signals that come earlier — in the data everyday life already generates, and in molecules no routine test currently detects — and turn them into biomarkers a screening programme can use.
Everyday data
Routine signals from daily life — movement, sleep, speech, and vitals from wearables and phones — captured continuously and read for the earliest shifts that precede disease.
New sensors
Sensors built to detect the molecules that carry a clinical signal, so biomarkers that today need a laboratory, or do not yet exist, can be measured cheaply and often.
Biomarkers for screening
Models that turn those signals into validated biomarkers — finding disease before symptoms exist, and putting the right test in front of the right person.
Training health AI scientists
Clinicians, biologists, and life scientists learning to build with AI — through a mentored fellowship and open, self-paced learning material.
