Nexus Health is a translational health AI lab. We research how to detect disease earlier and monitor health over time, build that research into applications clinicians and patients use, and train the next generation of health AI scientists.

- Evidence First
- Every project begins with the evidence. We build on research, rigour, and a real understanding of the problem, not on trends.
- Equity by Design
- AI in health should work for everyone. We design and evaluate with diverse populations from the first day, not as an afterthought.
- Ship & Iterate
- Research means little if it stops at a paper or a model. When work holds up, we build the whole application to production standard and keep refining it with the people who use it.
- Radical Transparency
- From data practices to model limitations, openness builds the trust AI needs in high-stakes care.
Founder
Saleem Ameen
Founder · Engineer, researcher & physician-in-training
Saleem graduated from Harvard Medical School in Biomedical Informatics, was a Fulbright Scholar at the MIT Institute for Medical Engineering & Science, and is an MD/PhD candidate at the University of Tasmania. His work centres on early disease detection and precision screening, using AI and biosensing to improve the early detection of colorectal cancer in marginalised populations.
